A Simple Bathroom Refresh With Maximum Impact

The Client’s Vision

When my Fort Myers design clients came to me about their primary bathroom remodel, they were clear on one thing: they didn’t want anything fancy. Just a clean and simple, updated bathroom design that works better for their family and made sense for resale.

The original layout was dated and underutilized. The first item on the wishlist? Ditching the bathtub. Could never be me, but this isn’t an uncommon request, I totally get it. Their wish, my command.

Key Design Details

We extended the shower for a more open, modern feel and added privacy glass so it still felt connected, yet serene. To soften the space, we went with a pebble mosaic floor in the shower—a subtle, spa-like detail that gives the whole bathroom a calming energy.

One of my favorite parts of this project was the green stacked tile behind the vanities. It’s a small moment of personality in a space that’s otherwise neutral and fresh. We paired it with oversized medicine cabinets (a specific request from the homeowners) that blend form and function beautifully—storage without the bulk.

At first, the clients didn’t want to touch the lighting, but I encouraged them to reconsider. Light fixtures are one of the most cost-effective ways to update a space—and in this bathroom, they made all the difference. What started as a “maybe” ended up being one of the finishing touches we were all most excited about.

This project is proof that “simple” doesn’t mean boring. When you make thoughtful updates, even the most straightforward refresh can feel special.

Before & After

Every design decision in this space was about balance—function over flash, calm over clutter. It’s a great reminder that even when the design goal is “nothing fancy,” thoughtful details can create a result that still feels elevated and personal. I love bringing your space to life — the needs are up to you. Whether you’re dreaming big or simply want your home to feel more like you, I’m here to help make it happen with intention and care.
